PHYSICAL EDUCATION FOR A WHOLE-PERSON LEARNING EXPERIENCE
Daily exercise is crucial as part of a healthy mental, physical and spiritual life.
The physical education program at Grants Pass Adventist School strikes a balance between classroom time and physical activity by emphasizing well-being, self-control, teamwork, sportsmanship and regard for others (as well as equipment and property). From walking, jumping and jogging to softball, football, basketball and volleyball—our students move!
In addition, we offer several options for extracurricular sports.
Our school also participates in the North American Division Health Ministry’s Let’s Move Day every September. For an entire Sunday, the building is open for anyone who wishes to participate in exercise. Many choose to stretch or do chair aerobics, others walk or run. Some also bring their bikes to ride.
To complement this healthy event, a healthy lunch is for sale by the 8th grade class as a fundraiser.
